Preamble

This contract is drawn up in German; the English translation is provided for convenience only. Only the German version is binding.

1. Agreement

1.1 By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you understand that you are registering to attend the event. You may register on behalf of others, however you are deemed to be liable for all event participants you register.

1.2 We ask that you please ensure you register for the correct event. Should you require assistance at any time please do not hesitate to contact the event team.

2. Registration Confirmation

2.1 On completion of your registration, a confirmation email will be sent to your nominated email address. Please check your registration carefully.

2.2 If you have not received an email confirmation within 24 hours of making the on-line registration, please contact the team.

3. Registration Cancellation Policy

3.1 Should you be unable to attend an event due to illness or an accident, you must contact us by no later than 15 days prior to the commencement of the event.

The cancelation fee is 100%, so there is no refund possible.

4. Filming and sound recording

4.1. Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin reserves the right to film, record or photograph any of the speakers at the event for post event purposes. Participants are advised that this may result in incidental inclusion within any recording or photographs.

5. Data use agreement

5.1 With registration, the participant agrees to the usage of his data by the organization committee.

6. Legal basis

6.1 Organizers of the event is the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

6.2 The organizers and their authorized representatives cannot be held liable for any damages, of whatever nature or loss of goods. Nor can they be held for any damages arising from any other defects in the accommodation or the surrounding grounds, any damage to goods or persons arising from any cause whatsoever, if and insofar as such damage or loss is not covered by third party liability insurance taken out by the organizers.

6.3 German law is applicable. Place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany.
